Wey Coffee 01 PHEV Service Intervals — Full Hi4-T Schedule
Wey Coffee 01 PHEV Service Intervals — Full Hi4-T Schedule
The Wey Coffee 01 PHEV is GWM's premium-positioned hybrid SUV — same Hi4-T powertrain as the Haval H6 PHEV but with upgraded interior and air suspension on top trims. Service profile is essentially the same as the H6 PHEV with a few luxury-trim additions.
Official Wey Coffee 01 PHEV service interval
- First inspection: 5,000 km / 3 months
- Routine: every 10,000 km / 12 months
- Major: every 40,000 km / 4 years
- Air suspension inspection: every 24 months (top trims)
In severe service (heavy stop-start, dust, temperatures above 35°C or below -15°C) drop routine to 7,500 km. Don't exceed 12 months.
What gets replaced at each interval
Every 10,000 km / 12 months (routine)
- Engine oil and filter — 3.6 L of 0W-20 full synthetic, API SP. Atkinson engine; never substitute 5W-30.
- Cabin air filter (Wey uses HEPA filter on top trims — same housing, premium media)
- Brake fluid moisture check
- 12V auxiliary battery health check
- Tyre rotation and pressure check
- Brake pad wear inspection
- Underbody and HV cable visual
- Software update check
Every 20,000 km / 2 years
All routine plus:
- Brake fluid replacement (DOT 4)
- Engine air filter replacement
- HV battery coolant level/condition check
Every 40,000 km / 4 years (major)
- DHT fluid change — Hi4-T 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. Sealed on paper, but bulletins from 2024 recommend fluid change at 40,000 km. GWM-specified DHT fluid only.
- Engine coolant condition test
- Spark plug replacement (iridium)
- A/C system service
- Suspension and steering inspection
- 12V battery replacement (preventative)
- Air suspension diagnostic (top trims)
Every 60,000 km / 6 years
- Engine coolant flush (pink GWM coolant)
- HV battery coolant flush (low-conductivity, NEVER mix with engine coolant)
- Drive belt inspection
- Brake disc inspection
Wey luxury-trim additions
- Air suspension (top trims only) — inspect for sag at every annual service. Strut replacement €900-1,500 per side at workshop.
- HEPA cabin filter (top trims) — same housing as standard but premium media. Replacement interval same (12 months).
- Massage seat motors — if grinding, workshop replaces motor (€220-380).
Year-by-year cost (EU averages, 2026)
| Year | Mileage | Service | Cost | |------|---------|---------|------| | 1 | 10,000 km | First service | €150-200 | | 2 | 20,000 km | Routine + brake fluid + air filter | €260-360 | | 3 | 30,000 km | Routine | €160-220 | | 4 | 40,000 km | Major: oil + plugs + DHT + brake fluid + 12V + A/C | €620-880 | | 5 | 50,000 km | Routine + likely 12V | €220-310 |
5-year cumulative: ~€1,410-1,970. Slightly higher than Haval H6 PHEV (~€1,250-1,800) due to Wey's premium positioning at workshops + air suspension service.
Common service mistakes
- Treating DHT as truly sealed for life — change fluid at 40,000 km.
- Using generic ATF in the DHT — wet clutch packs will judder, then fail.
- Mixing the two coolants.
- Using 5W-30 — Atkinson plus hybrid start-stop wants 0W-20.
- Skipping air suspension inspection on top trims (early sag is cheap to fix; late-stage is expensive).
- Ignoring 12V check (PHEVs are harder on 12V than EVs or pure ICE).
